karenware.com – a site that has free software applications, in particular Karen’s Replicator for backing up your computer.
foxmarks.com – Now Xmarks.com – here you can download the application that will keep your bookmarks or favorites memorized for you – never have to rebuild your bookmarks list again.
ask-leo.com – computer help from Leo Notenboom – see if someone else has asked the question, or ask your own
techguylabs.com – home of “The Tech Guy” Leo LaPorte (what’s with the tech guys named Leo?) – lots of computer help to be found here
crucial.com – you can buy additional memory for your computer from here – if you don’t know what kind of memory your computer needs, they will analyze it and tell you what you have, and what you can add. Prices are good, service is excellent and they guarantee if they recommend a particular type memory it will work.
belarc.com – free, you can run the Belarc Advisor software and it will give you a listing of all the specifics about your computer at the time.
grc.com – the home of Gibson Research Corporation. Steve Gibson is a well know security expert, and you can find out all the security info you can handle here.
top-windows-tutorials.com – this site has video tutorials on all sorts of things, and is constantly adding more.
butterscotch.com – this site also has all sorts of video tutorials on how to do all sorts of things.

Software you might like:
comfort-software.com – here you can find an excellent clipboard manager program (Comfort Clipboard), as well as some others they have that might be useful for you. Their programs are not free, but do offer a 30 day free trial so you can see if you want to pay for the license. Though not free, they are very inexpensive.
ivorymahjongg.com - here you can download an excellent computer mahjongg game – works with both Windows and Mac, and is completely free
evernote.com – an excellent note-taking application that will let you jot down notes as you think of things, or put a copy of a web page you want to remember – it will sync between all computers you use it on, and you can access it from the web if you’re away from your own computer. There is a free version, or a paid version if the free version does not offer enough storage space for you. I find the free version to have ample storage for my needs.
websudoku.com – an online sudoku game, go there to play a game and avoid all the eraser droppings from doing a game in print. Free.
youmail.com – this is a voicemail replacement for cell phones that gives you much more flexibility with your messaging. You can block calls from unwanted callers, personalize messages to individuals, and it will send you an email when you get a message and you can listen to the message from your computer. Free.
zoho.com – a site that has multiple applications for use in computing in the cloud
dropbox.com – where you can get the online storage app Dropbox that will allow you to access your files from other computers wherever you have internet access.
Jingproject.com – The free program Jing is a screen capture program from the same folks who make the great (but not free) program, Snagit.
XsX Alpha Blended Cursors – a free addon that changes the cursor on your screen; makes it a beautiful colored large pointer that is very easy to see

800notes.com – when you get those unwanted calls you can go to this site, enter the number and see if others have been getting the same nuisance calls, and where they come from.
newseum.org - this site gives you links to newspapers all over the world, and you can read online.
allmyfaves.com - this is a great site that has links to almost everything you’d ever want to find – just click on the link to go to the site.
oldfortyfives.com – this is a fun site that has several very well done slide shows with pictures and music from the 50′s and 60′s
unclaimed.org – this site has links to all the state treasurer’s sites where unclaimed funds are kept. You can go to a particular state, enter your name and see whether there’s something there for you to collect. Try every state you’ve ever lived in or done business in, plus Delaware (lots of insurance companies headquartered in Delaware). Also try every name you’ve ever gone by.
rottentomatoes.com – this site has reviews of movies by regular folks who have actually seen the movie – see whether you want to spend your money to see the latest thing, or wait for it to be on TV.
anythingbutipod.com This site has reviews and discussions of all brands/models of mp3 players (all but iPod, that is). Go here if you’re looking for an mp3 player, or if you’ve already got one and want help in using it.
supercook.com A site where you can enter in the ingredients you have on hand and find recipes that you can use. Free.
